A GELATO STORY, in conversation with Christian Oddono

Step into the sun‑drenched world of Italian summer with Christian Oddono to explore the irresistible icon that has captured imaginations—and tastebuds—around the globe: gelato. From its curious Renaissance origins to its evolution into a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and dolce vita culture, this conversation traces how a simple frozen delight became one of Italy’s most beloved ambassadors.

Christian Oddono is the founder of Oddono’s Gelati Italiani, one of London’s most beloved artisanal gelato brands. Born and raised in Italy, he brought his family’s traditions and a passion for authentic flavours to the UK, opening his first gelateria in South Kensington in 2004. Since then, Oddono’s has become a benchmark for real Italian gelato, celebrated for its craftsmanship, natural ingredients, and award‑winning recipes.
